My Account Info

Why do I have to create an account?

When you buy a pattern from Alice & Ann, you are asked to create an account.  I thought long and hard about whether to make this a requirement because I know how hard it is to keep track of all the accounts that one has these days.  Having said that, it is beneficial to you, and so that is why I do require it.

Every time you buy a pattern, you are allowed 4 downloads, per purchase.  Most of us will only download the pattern once, and save the download to a file, and that is that.  However, you are entitled to the other 3 downloads, and these are valid for one year from the date of purchase.  If you have an account with us, it allows us to store the downloads for you, and you can access them anytime that you may need it.  If you computer crashes, or you lose the file, it is here for you.

What if I forget my password?

As long as you know the email address that you used to create the account, you are good to go.  If you forget the password, you can reset the password to a new one.  Just click on the Forgot My Password and we will send you an email to the address that you provided when you set up the account, and you can reset it from there.

How do I get to my account?

Someday soon I plan to have a button on my website that you will just click on.  But that takes coding, and I am waiting on that for now.  However, to get into your account, go to the top of the home page, and click on the search icon.  Type in My Account.  It will bring up a link, and when you click on the link, it will take you into your account.  This is where you can also reset your password if you need to.  Once you have a password, you can get into the dashboard of your account.

What will I find on the dashboard of My Account?

Your account information is private and can only be accessed by you.  The dashboard contains the following:

– Includes your order history of your purchases and current status of all your orders.

– This will show any available downloads.  Remember that you have 4 downloads per purchase and they expire one full year from the time of purchase.  Any downloads that you have not used are stored here.

–  This includes the address associated with your account after you made have made a purchase.  This information can only be viewed by you, the account holder, and no one else.

Account Details
– This includes your first and last name, the email address associated with your account, as well as a way to change your password.

– Click on this to be logged out of your account.
