Pattern Instructions STEP 20
Being careful not to catch the bodice lining, with rights sides together, and raw edges even, pin the skirt to the bodice, matching the side seams, the center front seam, and the princess seams. On the back the princess seams of the skirt should line up with the back darts. Baste. Stitch. Press seam towards the bodice.
Place the bodice and skirt together with right sides together, matching the side seams.
Being careful not to catch the lining, pin the bodice to the skirt, carefully matching the center front seams, the princess seams, and side seams. The bodice back dart should line up with the princess seam on the skirt back.
Stitch together using a 1/2" (1.3cm) seam allowance. Consider basting the seam first to be sure the seams match up perfectly. Basting the seam will prevent any movement when stitching. Press the seam up towards the bodice.
Turn the 1/2" (1.3cm) seam allowance under on the lining and pin along seam of the shell, lining up the seams.
Slip stitch the lining to hold it in place, leaving about 2" free on both sides of the center back seam.
Turn right side out and lightly press.
Installing the zipper and hem facings will be next and will be the last of the sew-along posts for the Kendra Dress.
