Attendance: Classes will start promptly as scheduled. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time to set up in order to be ready for class, but do not plan to arrive any earlier, as there could be other instruction going on such as private instruction or a prior class that is still wrapping up.
Reserve Your Spot: Class space is very limited, so please sign up as soon as you can. You can reserve your space by booking online under the CLASSES tab, sending us an email, calling, or coming by the shop to pay for your class seat in full. In the event of our Workshop Sewing Intensives, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to enroll, with the remaining balance due one week before the workshop date.
Age Requirement: All classes are for adults therefore you must be 18 years old and up to enroll. However, if you are between the ages of 16 and 18, and are interested in taking a class, we will accept students on a per case bases. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us, at which time we can make a determination if the class will be a good fit for you.
Minimum Enrollment: Although our classes are small, we do require a minimum of students (typically 2 enrollee’s) for each class to run. If a class has not met the required minimum number of students within 24 hours of the scheduled class, we will contact students via email to issue a full refund. We will do our best to reschedule the class, or one similar to it, in the future. We cannot reimburse you for the materials acquired in advance of the class.
Cancellation: Due to the very limited enrollment in our classes and the special nature of our workshops, classes and workshop tuitions are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, we suggest that you gift your spot to someone, or find a friend who might appreciate the class and can take your spot. Just let us know so we know who to expect!
Inclement Weather: It is possible that a class may need to be canceled or rescheduled due to inclement weather. If a closing affects a class we will email and/or call each person to let him/her know as soon as we determine the class has been canceled. Be also sure to check our Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram account for inclement weather closure notifications.
Overbooked Class: If, in the rare occurrence, we overbook a class, we will contact you immediately and refund you the full amount.
Material Requirements: Most of our beginner level classes include the materials required to complete the project. Advanced beginner, intermediate and advanced classes and our special Workshop Sewing Intensives often require you to bring your own materials. Please check the Fabric & Supplies tab within the class description for a list of materials required.
Material Lists: We recommend that you give yourself plenty of time to acquire your materials prior to your class. In the event of a Workshop Sewing Intensive, we will send out a class materials list 2 weeks in advance of the class to give you time to find that perfect fabric or special trim!!
Studio Equipment: Sewing machines are provided for each student. If you plan to bring your own machine to class, please let us know you are bringing your machine so that we can have a space ready for you. You also need to know how to run and operate your machine. We do offer “Get To Know Your Machine” instruction separately!
