My love of sewing began at a very early age when my mom, Alice, began to teach me when I was just 8 years old. It was through her instruction and incredible patience that my sewing skills flourished, and it was because of her influence that I became a fashion designer.
I received my first degree in Textile Science from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I continued my studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Apparel Design, and a minor in Apparel Production.
I spend several years working on fashion avenue in New York city designing women's sportswear and traveling to Europe and factories in Hong Kong, Korea, and Taiwan.
My passion is for fabric and color, texture and design. My strengths are in the technical aspects of construction and fit.
